Symena releases Capesso™ 4.19

 

Capesso™ Drive Test refined

Symena has released a new version of the market leading automatic cell planning (ACP) tool, Capesso™ 4.19.  Refinement of Capesso™ Drive Test is the most significant of several new features with this release.  User feedback has helped Symena to streamline and enhance the process of taking raw measurement data and turning it into input for Capesso™.  Improvements include new measures of data quality, graphical representations of those measures and improved traffic map generation.

"It's one thing to have new features," said Dr Thomas Neubauer, Managing Director of Symena.  "It's another to make sure that they integrate well with customer workflows.  In this release we have focused on refining Capesso™ Drive Test so that users can get the most out of it without fiddling around with file conversions or using unsuitable inputs.  Usability is the key.  It delivers real value."

Also featured in this release are:

• Support for Atoll's multi-Radio Access Technology (multi-RAT) projects introduced with Atoll 3.0.  Capesso™ also continues to support the older format single RAT projects;
• Improvements to functions associated with repeaters and splitters;
• Streamlining of handling the LTE modulation threshold settings; and
• Consideration of an antenna pattern on user equipment. This is particularly useful for wireless fixed broadband networks.
